Our research focuses on problems in Differential Geometry, Geometric Analysis and Mathematical Physics. In particular, we are interested in geometric and analytic aspects of harmonic maps and their higher order generalizations. Furthermore, we investigate variational problems arising in theoretical physics as for example within the Standard Model of Elementary Particle Physics with modern methods from geometric analysis.
