Ich beschäftige mich mit verschiedenen Fragen der elementaren und analytischen Zahlentheorie, insbesondere der Verteilung der Primzahlen, additive Fragen, die sehr dünne Mengen involvieren, zahlentheoretischen Funktionen, fastperiodischen Funktionen, Irrationalitätsfragen und Problemen im Umkreis des grossen Siebes.

Zahlentheoretische Funktionen eignen sich gut als Themen für Staatsexamens-, Bachelor- und Masterarbeiten, Doktorarbeiten sind auf diesem Gebiet eher schwierig. Analytische Zahlentheorie benötigt mehr Vorkenntnisse, und eignet sich daher eher für Master- und Doktorarbeiten.

Zahlentheoretische Funktionen und fastperiodische Funktionen werden in dem Buch Arithmetical Functions von Schwarz und Spilker erläutert. Das grosse Sieb und seine Anwendungen werden in den Büchern von Multiplicative Number Theory von Davenport und Topics in multiplicative number theory von Montgomery dargestellt.
